Our Board of Directors are made up of parent volunteers.
We are a Co-operative nursery school. What this means is that you give an hour or two of your time each month to be involved in our program.

Some of the ways you can be involved are:
  1. Grocery shopping for snacks.
  2. Take down at the end of the day (Due to Covid 19 virus this is no longer taking place until further notice.)
  3. Fundraising. ( Due to Covid 19 virus we will not be doing any fundraiser activities until further notice.)
  4. Board member.
Gingerbread Nursery School is operated by five Volunteer Board Members

WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT

Using the guidelines, as outlined in the Assessment for Quality Improvement with the Durham Region Operating Criteria, we deliver  a high-quality program that allows children opportunities for play, socialization, exploration and developmentally appropriate learning in a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Child Care Information for Families

We incorporate the Ministry of Education's policy statement reflecting the pedagogic approach of How Does Learning Happen which views children as competent, capable and rich in potential. It sets out broad goals for children and expectations for programs organized around the four foundations of belonging, well-being, engagement and expression.
